Is any prior experience required?
No prior experience in meditation or other holistic modalities is necessary to enrol in our courses. All our programs are non-sectarian, evidence-based, and grounded in scientific research. While prior meditation experience is not required, we do encourage our students to cultivate a dedicated personal meditation practice.
Why is it important to be certified?
There are three key reasons why certification is crucial:
Association Membership and Insurance: Certification enables you to join an association and access insurance in Australia or in any of the 35+ countries.
Enhanced Credibility: Certification adds credibility, which is particularly valuable when starting your career.
Competitive Edge: Certification helps you stand out from competitors. Depending on the level completed, graduates can use specific letters after their name. For example, graduates with the Certificate in Meditation Teaching and Holistic Human Development may use: Cert.Med.(MBEd).
Can I get a student loan or payment plan?
While we do not offer student loans or eligibility for HECS-HELP, we provide competitive pricing options. Students can benefit from a discount when paying course fees upfront. Additionally, we offer flexible payment plans with affordable weekly payments to accommodate varying financial circumstances.
Are the online masterclasses compulsory?
No, attendance at the online masterclasses is not compulsory. While we believe that some face-to-face training can enhance the learning experience, students are not penalised for not attending. All masterclasses are recorded, allowing students to watch them at their convenience if desired.
How many hours a week will I need to study?
You have the flexibility to choose between part-time or full-time study options. For instance, the Certificate foundation course typically requires:
-Part-time study: Approximately 10 hours per week over 12 weeks
-Full-time study: Approximately 20 hours per week over 6 weeks
For specific timeframes for each level, please refer to the Courses section of this website.
What is the difference between traditional vs holistic counselling?
Holistic counselling emphasises the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and spirit, viewing the individual as a whole. It considers the 'issue' at hand as part of a complex, multi-faceted system. In contrast, traditional counselling typically focuses on the individual's mental health and aims to identify and resolve specific 'problems'.
